Things that make me happy

Things that make me happy

Happiness Is Closer Than I Think.

I started painting the little things that make me happy in my everyday life, using watercolors in my journal.

Reading the Bible and discovering how deeply God loves me, and how deeply I am loved by Him.

Being able to look at the fresh green leaves of my plants.

Playing the piano and guitar to praise God, or to express the feelings in my heart when words aren't enough.

Leaving home and traveling somewhere a little different, enjoying new places and new experiences.

The tools that help me turn the things I imagine into something real, my favorite fine-tip fountain pen, and ink that doesn't disappear when it gets wet.

Sweet, juicy watermelon.
The comforting smell of coffee.
A hearty breakfast.

My laptop, which keeps me from ever getting bored, and lovely cats that make my heart feel soft just by being around.

Watercolor paints and art supplies that bring out my sentimental side, and my sewing machine that lets me make things with my own hands.

My zigzag notebook and counseling journal, where I carefully record the things I want to remember.

The joy of reading a good book, and chewy, spicy-sweet tteokbokki.

There are still some kinds of happiness I haven't painted yet.

Spending time with the people I love, sharing conversations, laughter, and ordinary moments together. I want to paint those moments carefully someday, too.

Writing down these little things made me realize that happiness doesn't always have to be something big or extraordinary.

Sometimes, it is quietly tucked away in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

Perhaps taking the time to paint and write down the things that make me happy is also a way of discovering what I truly love and what makes my life meaningful.

Thank You for letting me enjoy all these little joys.
