About
Hello, and thank you for visiting Zagnei Homepage.
Zagnei (pronounced in the German way “Zag-nai”) means “a little child” in Korean.
I love little children, and I find that I learn so much from them. They trust and depend on their parents completely. They live believing that their needs will be provided for, without carrying worries about tomorrow.
They are also honest.
They express their thoughts and feelings openly. This does not mean they always say what is pleasant or easy to hear, but that they are able to express what is genuinely in their hearts.
In them, I see unconditional love that accepts oneself and others as they are, and a freedom that is not bound by relationships, expectations, or judgment.
As people grow older, however, we gradually lose some of this freedom.
We live carrying responsibilities and the realities of life, constantly striving, and often find ourselves unable to express our thoughts and feelings honestly out of fear.
In the Bible, Jesus says, “Unless you become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
To me, this is not simply about innocence. I believe it is an invitation to trust in the unconditional love and care of God the Father through faith in Jesus — to entrust our lives and identity to Him, and to live in that freedom.
Through Zagnei, I wanted to express this meaning.
I also deeply value the warmth of things that can be made, written, and held by hand in our fast-moving digital world.
Paper and ink, watercolor paintings, notebooks, and small handmade creations made with time and care bring me a quiet sense of joy.
Through these small works, I hope the warmth of an analog sensibility can remain in our lives a little longer, helping people understand themselves a little more deeply and discover small moments of joy and rest in everyday life.
And I hope these values can continue to be passed on to future generations.
